From Yunnan’s Pristine Mountains to Your Teacup

Founded by Henry Yiow in 2004, Chang Yu Hao is Cha Zhi Ji’s in-house Pu-erh brand dedicated to quality and purity. The teas are crafted using leaves from 100–300+ year-old wild tea trees growing at altitudes between 1,500–3,500 meters in Yunnan’s most remote regions. These old-growth trees offer deep-rooted nutrients and naturally clean growing environments, without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides.

Traditional Craftsmanship & Limited Spring Harvest

Chang Yu Hao Sheng Pu-erh is only harvested in spring before the rains, using early tender buds known as “Spring Tips.” The production process includes sun-drying, hand-firing, and traditional stone-pressing – all carried out with strict clean processing standards. Each tea cake embodies a balance of power and elegance, showcasing a style that is bold yet refined.

Flavor Profile & Aging Potential

Freshly made, the tea liquor is golden-green, with complex layered notes, a clear floral fragrance, and a thick, full-bodied texture with sweet undertones. Over time, it transforms into a mellow, smooth tea with deep cha yun (tea charm), making it perfect for aging and collecting.
