Cha Zhi Ji Xiao Qing Gan Pu-erh – Whole Mandarin Pu-erh
Cha Zhi Ji Xiao Qing Gan is a handcrafted blend of fresh green mandarin (Xiao Qing Gan) from Xinhui, Guangdong and premium Pu-erh tea from Yunnan. Each green mandarin is carefully hollowed out, filled with Pu-erh leaves, sealed with its original peel, and dried naturally – all without coloring or additives.
This tea merges the bright citrus aroma of young mandarin with the earthy sweetness of Pu-erh. The liquor is deep orange-red, with a smooth, mellow taste, lingering sweetness, and a comforting aged aroma.
We use tender mandarins from old trees in Xinhui’s most prized micro-regions: Tianma, Chakeng, Meijiang, Dongjia, and Xijia. These areas lie at the junction of saltwater and freshwater, creating mineral-rich soil that produces exceptional fruit traditionally used for medicinal Chen Pi.
Brewing Suggestions:
- Whole fruit method (for sharing): Infuse the full mandarin with lid into a pot or cup, pour in boiling water, and steep until the color turns golden and rich.
- Crushed peel method (for individual servings): Break off desired amount of Pu-erh and peel, then steep together in boiling water.
This tea is ideal for daily drinking and wellness – known for soothing the stomach, aiding digestion, reducing phlegm, and calming the mind.
