Cha Zhi Ji – Wuyi Rock Tea Shui Jin Gui (水金龟)

Shui Jin Gui (“Golden Water Turtle”) is one of the Four Famous Wuyi Rock Tea Cultivars. Harvested in mid-May, it features thick buds and leaves, and is traditionally handcrafted using low-temperature slow roasting — a method that enhances aroma, taste, and aging potential.

Cha Zhi Ji’s Shui Jin Gui is made in collaboration with Ruichuan tea master Huang Shenghui, a respected expert known for his refined “dun huo” (slow charcoal roasting) technique. This tea is grown in the protected Xiaokengyan area of Wuyishan, where natural conditions enrich its character.

The dry leaves appear tightly curled, glossy, and green-brown. Once brewed, the liquor reveals a golden orange clarity with a plum blossom aroma. The taste is rich, mellow, sweet, and smooth, offering a lingering “rock rhyme” (岩韵) that defines authentic Wuyi tea.
