Selected Shui Xian is a semi-handcrafted Wuyi Rock Tea made from large-leaf, tall-bush Shui Xian trees. Since 1999, Cha Zhi Ji has preserved this traditional varietal, crafting it with care to express the elegance of Shui Xian’s varietal and production aroma.

🌿 Aroma & Taste

The dry leaves are tightly curled and glossy, resembling the curve of a shepherd’s staff. A hint of moss and a prominent orchid aroma are present in the dry scent. Once brewed, the tea reveals a deep orange liquor with layers of floral, vegetal, and herbal complexity—beginning with orchid, then transitioning to bamboo leaf and rice dumpling leaf (粽叶) notes. The taste is smooth, floral, and slightly sweet with a refreshing aftertaste that lifts the spirit.

🍵 Liquor & Finish

Its liquor is bright and rich, with excellent clarity and structure. Later infusions become sweeter and more vibrant. The tea leaves are soft and glossy, showing red-edged tips—indicative of skilled roasting. It is known for its stamina and stability across multiple steeps.
