Lao Cong Shui Xian (Old Bush Shui Xian) is made from tea bushes over 40–60 years old, grown in the core Zhengyan area of Wuyishan. The term “Lao Cong” refers to these aged tea plants whose roots reach deeper into the rocky terrain, extracting richer minerals and resulting in exceptional complexity.

🌿 Aroma & Taste

The liquor is rich, thick, and smooth, delivering notes of orchid, aged wood, moss, and minerality. Unique to Lao Cong Shui Xian is its distinctive “cong wei” – a mature, steady aroma reminiscent of old forest and clean stone walls. There is also a faint cooling sensation after sipping, making it both grounding and refreshing.

🍵 Tea Liquor & Leaf

The brewed tea shines a deep amber with excellent clarity. Taste is bold but not aggressive – mellow, yet layered. The aftertaste is sweet and persistent. The leaves are thick, soft, yellowish-green with signature red edging (“three red, seven green”), a hallmark of well-roasted aged Shui Xian.
