Yiwu King – The Crown Jewel of Raw Pu-erh from Yunnan’s Historic Core
Yiwu King (易武茶王) is a top-tier raw Pu-erh tea from Cha Zhi Ji, crafted from ancient tea trees growing wild in the mountainous forests of Yiwu, Xishuangbanna. Located in Mengla County, Yiwu is one of the original Six Famous Tea Mountains of Yunnan and remains a sacred origin of authentic Pu-erh.
This 2017 vintage was produced using early spring buds and leaves, traditionally sun-dried and stone-pressed. The dry cake is tightly knotted, aromatic, and clean. Upon brewing, the tea releases a golden liquor that is thick, smooth, and full-bodied with wild mountain aroma, honey notes, and vibrant energy.
Expect a layered experience: a gentle bitterness that fades quickly into long-lasting sweetness and deep salivation. The liquor is resinous, rich, and energetic—with a strong hui gan (returning sweetness) and enduring throat feel. The body response is warming and uplifting, signature of truly powerful ancient tree Pu-erh.
A bold, commanding tea from the heart of Yiwu — refined through time and rooted in legacy.
